Fire Chief Gary Anderson Celebrating 33 Years of Service

Chief Anderson has been with the Colton Rural Fire Protection District 70 for

over 30 years, starting his career as a volunteer in 1984 and working his way up the chain of command in the process, from Probationary Firefighter to Fire Chief.

Chief Anderson's years of dedicated service has shown how much this community means to him. Above anything else Chief Anderson has shown countless firefighters and emergency responders alike what it truly means to give everything you have into this career, and helped many firefighter’s start their futures in this industry. Chief Anderson has served this community which he loves; with dignity and respect. He has taken countless hours, through early mornings and late nights away from his family and friends to serve the Colton Community. He has responded to a multitude of incident’s such as structure fire’s, wildland conflagrations, motor vehicle accident, medical service, and other miscellaneous calls over these many years.

At 1700, today (03/31/17) Fire Chief Gary Anderson has officially retired from the Colton Rural Fire Protection District.

From all of us here, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to you, and your family for the sacrifices you have made to contribute to make this community better. Your absence in this department will not go unnoticed!

Chief Anderson have fun with retirement, and don’t work to hard, we all know you have earned it!
