Emergency Medical Responder Course

Interested in becoming certified as an Emergency Medical Responder?

Classes at Colton Fire start Thursday nights, 6:30-9:30 pm beginning Thursday, 1/19. Contact us at (503) 824-2545 if you are interested. Emergency Medical Responders provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive. EMRs also provide assistance to higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies and during transport. With passing of the EMR class you will earn an EMR certification. For those who already hold a EMS license this counts as continuing education (CE) hours toward maintaining your existing EMT certification.

Volunteers can be EMS only! Contact us for more information.
